Not promises, but the way an engagement runs with us.
One conversation, two questions
Every engagement begins with a conversation: by phone, via Zoom or at the office. Two questions are at the centre: what is your goal, and what is your greatest worry? The strategy grows out of the answers, not the other way round.
By agreement wherever possible
A settlement is almost always faster, cheaper and more bearable for everyone involved than a fight in court. We therefore first examine what can be settled out of court, and represent you firmly before the family court where there is no other way.
What you tell us stays here
Attorney-client privilege applies from the first conversation onwards, even if no engagement follows from it. It covers your enquiry, your documents and everything else you entrust to us.
A reply within one working day
Office hours are Monday to Friday from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 18. We reply to written enquiries as a rule within one working day, by email or with a call back, whichever you prefer.

Mieke Karcher
Attorney with a focus on family law, admitted to the bar since 2010. Over more than fifteen years she has accompanied clients through uncontested and contested divorces, through maintenance proceedings, the division of assets and disputes over custody and contact rights.
She is your contact for new enquiries and conducts your case from the first assessment to the final court order, always with an eye on what an arrangement means for your family and your children in everyday life.
Owner of the firm
Dietrich Karcher
Founder and owner of the firm with more than thirty years of practice across civil law. After studying at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich he worked as an independent attorney, with offices in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Granada in Spain.
Today he handles selected ongoing matters, with a focus on questions of property and assets. He advises in German, English and Spanish.

Frankfurt is a city where many marriages are concluded across borders. If you or your spouse hold another nationality, if you married abroad or if assets lie across the border, one question comes before all others: which court has jurisdiction and which law applies? We settle it in the language you feel secure in.
