At home in the quarter
A young quarter – with its own concerns
The Europaviertel grew up on the former central goods station – a new quarter with many young families, freshly bought homes and international couples.
That shapes our cases too: the jointly owned flat in a separation, the equalisation of gains, child maintenance – and, for binational couples, the question of which court has jurisdiction and which law applies. We put the legal side in order, clearly and fairly.

Jurisdiction
Which family court decides
For family matters from the Europaviertel, the Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main (family court) has jurisdiction. Which court decides locally is governed by § 122 FamFG – usually by where shared minor children live or where you last lived together.
We establish the venue definitively before the petition is filed – and tell you in advance which documents we need so that nothing is missing.
The marriage certificate
Standesamt Frankfurt am Main
Good to know: For the divorce petition we need your marriage certificate. If you married in Frankfurt, it is held at the Standesamt Frankfurt am Main – otherwise the register office of your place of marriage applies.
